[Sponsored post] One of the things that we wanted to do is to have a photo-wall of pictures filled with precious photos that we have taken of our little one. So over the weekend, we finally got off our butts and got down with filling up the empty wall space with these white frames and pictures of Bubba from her 6-month photo-shoot. Half-way into the project, we ran out of velcro-tape as well as white frames to fill up the wall. So the project is currently put on hold till we head down to Ikea to get more of these white frames.
Apart from filling up the wall with photos, the idea was also to put a couple of prints to be accompanied with the photos. Before I embarked on the project, I was on a look-out for interesting prints and that’s when Sue from Needlekraft dropped me an email. She shared that she has been a silent reader of the blog and would like to commission a needlecraft piece for Bubba. Turned out that she’s expecting a baby girl come May and is currently taking a sabbatical which she is making to the fullest by pursuing her hobby of cross-stitching. I thought that was extremely sweet of her to do so and cross-stitching always brings back fond memories as I used to cross-stitch when I was much younger.
Since the final cross-stitch piece is meant to be a surprise, I simply shared with Sue the colour palette that I would like (ie: Pink and Mint Green) and she went straight to work. The craft maestro completed the piece in just 2 days and the surprise came in the mail within the week. Talk about speedy gonazales!
Ta-dah.. the final master-piece which I thought was really sweet and pretty. Loved the stylish silver frame that came along with the needle-work. A nice touch by Sue for sure.
This piece certainly is very versatile. I could put it next to this photo-frame of Bubba or on the shelf with all of Bubba’s other pictures.
