Tokyo eats: Bills

After days of Japanese food, I had a craving for a good hearty breakfast.  Been reading and drooling over the pictures of Ricotta Hotcakes so I dragged the Man out of bed to queue for a table at Bills.  Yup, another queue.  🙂

IMG_2315We arrived about 10ish in the morning on a Monday and just beat the crowds, for after us, a snaking queue formed.  Having said that, the place had already been filled before we arrived so we are pretty happy with the outcome (ie: not having to wait for long before we secured a table).

IMG_2317I kinda want a library like that one day but knowing the Man, he would probably scream at me.  Actually, I’m not that far off for parts of the bookshelf in our room looks haphazardly arranged.  ;p

The food!  At Bills, the Ricotta hotcakes with fresh banana and honeycomb butter is highly recommended.  Rightfully so for they were light and soft.  I think this may be the best hotcakes that I’ve ever had!

IMG_2321The corn fritters on the menu is also highly recommended but I understand that it’s a seasonal item so the Man went with an order of the Full Aussie Breakfast.  Portion was rather huge but he finished it anyway.

Overall, a really satisfying breakfast best enjoyed with a cuppa and people-watching within the restaurant.  If that’s not your cup of tea, then pick a book or two since there are scattered all over the shelves.  I will come back again for the Hotcakes if we have time to spare on our next trip to Tokyo.  🙂
