It’s social but can it be private?

My blog has started as a personal journal to share about the on-goings of my life mainly the ramblings of my life as I like to call it.  I also see it as a platform where I’m able to share my thoughts uninhibited and freely, but I’m finding it a little hard to do that of late with certain topics.

I want to be able to write freely and to basically rant/rave/gripe/whine about these topics without people having to pass the occasional judgement.  If I’ve made certain mistakes or hit roadblocks in life, then so be it.  I want to be able to learn and grow from these experiences.  It’s not easy for me to put myself out there to share these things but I want to document these down so that I can look back at this chapter in my life.

So I have started to password-protect some of my entries surrounding these topics and I will continue to do so until I feel comfortable to share them with you all again.  Rest assured I’m not going to keep everything private for life does go on and I look forward to sharing with you the other things that remain very dear to my heart.

Blog-pals, friends and dear ones, please write to me if you want access to these occasional blog entries.  I will be more than happy to pass them along but if I don’t, please don’t be upset.  I hope you understand, perhaps in time to come, I will slowly find it easier to open up again.

Hi, I have enjoyed reading your blog and have picked up many useful tips especially on ur Paris trip and eating places in sin. Dun let negative comments get you down as this is your private blog and you are free to do whatever you want in your domain. Please keep writing and you have a loyal reader in me 🙂

J, I feel u and I know you must be furious/hurt by some comment(s). Well, I guess some people are just plain sensitive. But don’t let those (or that) unhappy comment bother you or how you go about writing your blog. Hope you will “open up” soon 🙂

    Hugs!

Hope you’re feeling ok dear. I completely understand. We want to be able to vent without the intrusion of harsh sometimes even cruel comments. People who don’t completely understand us but deem to pass judgement. I wish there could be a safe space for like minded folk minus the trolls. If you have nothing nice to say, then don’t say it at all..that’s my philosophy. Too much negative energy is bad and I just love positivity myself.

I am just glad there are much more kind people out there who are nothing but supportive and you are one among them 🙂 So thank you for that. I can tell you are a kind person and that’s what gravitates me towards your blog.

Maybe you could have a comment policy in which you state that you will delete disrespectful comments. Actually on second thought, you don’t owe anyone any explanation…just delete I say 😉 The blog is your space and your home and you have the right to keep it safe.

Thanks BJ for lending ur listening ear 🙂
I agree with your philosophy but there are some out there who don’t necessarily subscribe to this. Nothing wrong with that but just keep your negative energy away. I’m glad I made the decision, I feel that I will be able to share more in this little private sanctuary for now.

        anytime dear 🙂

yeah I could do with less negative energy too. wish more people felt that way.

We already have those negative nelly voices in our heads and can be harsh enough with ourselves.
