Made my first sale!

Remember a couple of months back where I advertised the sale of my very own lens cap-keeper?  Well, a lovely lady – Miss E – contacted me and purchased 4 of these lens cap-keepers.

Getting crafty: Lens cap keeper

Ever been in a situation where you don’t know where you’ve placed your lens cover after removing it from your camera to snap a picture?

Well, I often get paranoid about losing the camera lens cover so I went in search of this lens cap keeper, purchased the rather plain-looking device and turned it into this…

Now I don’t have to worry about misplacing the camera lens cover for it will be attached to my camera.  :)

Pretty neat huh?!  :)

Fancy getting one of these nifty devices?  Am thinking of selling them for SGD 5, and for orders in Singapore, I will be throwing in free postage as well. Don’t worry if you do not fancy Hello Kitty, I have other stickers that you could choose from.  Item will be made-to-order only and fits most SLR/ DSLR cameras.  So if you are interested in getting this one-of-a-kind device, drop me a mail at ladyj_musings@rocketmail.com

Sunsets

We’ve started to see longer days as the sun starts to set at about 9ish here in the night.  I’m actually loving the longer days for it feels like I get more done during the day.  You see, I’m an early riser.  Now that I’m not working, I start my day rather early at about 8pm (the latest).  I get up and start hanging out with my trusty Mac, checking in on what’s new in the wonderful world of cyber-space.  The only time that we probably sleep in is during the weekends.

Inspired by Book Junkie of Tiny Island in one of her recent posts on Sunsets in Singapore, we were on our way home after dinner last Thursday at about 8.30pm plus and I marveled at this sight.

“I didn’t ask for it to be over, but then again, I never asked for it to begin. For that’s the way it is with life, as some of the most beautiful days come completely by chance. But even the most beautiful days eventually have their sunsets.”

Capture the Everyday: Something You Need to Upgrade

Capture the Everyday is about getting you to capture those everyday moments in your life! Each Thursday, Mel from Adeventuroo will issue a simple challenge to capture something that’s a part of your daily life. It’s a quick, easy way to start capturing those little parts of life we sometimes take for granted.

This week’s assignment: Something you need to upgrade.

I definitely need to upgrade my culinary skills and wares!  With time on hand to spare now that I’m not working in Geneva, I would like to start upgrading my extremely basic baking skills.  So, once we move into our new rented apartment, I’m heading out to get myself a basic set of baking-wares as well as enrolling in a class to try my hand at baking my favourite dessert – macaron.

Oh and next week’s challenge will be one that I’m looking forward to participating! ;)

floral blooms in Geneva.

Oh-kay, not exactly a continuation of my weekly ‘Florals in the loft’ series.  But inspired by a recent blog-post by {Girl on the ave}, I decided to head out today, make full use of the sunshine and document some of the pretty blossoms that I’ve seen springing up in Geneva.
