Catchin up

After the morning’s activity of lesson 1 of a cake decorating course that I’m taking up, I hopped on to Maison Ikkuko to meet up with the Imp for a late lunch.  The Man kindly let me have the use of the car.  I’m quite hopeless when it comes to driving.  It stresses me out but I guess have the car helps when I need to get to many places within the day.

The Imp warned of the limited parking at Kandahar Road but I was early so I decided to see if I could grab a spot.  What luck!  A lot freed up right in front of the restaurant but it was all parallel parking.  Darn!  So slowly but surely I managed to get the car into the parallel parking lot.  I never really attempted to parallel park preferring to drive or walk a little further till I could get a far more desirable lot.  I guess I conquered my fears of parallel parking then.  The car jutted out a little but well, at least I got the car into the lot.

I was a little famished by now, so decided to have the Mi Musabi which was the house specialty.  I kinda liked it actually for it reminded of an onigiri minus the seaweed of course.  Loved the SPAM that provided a touch of saltiness for the seasoned Japanese short-grain rice.  Polished that off and went on the half sandwich that the Imp plonked on my plate.

The Chunky Egg Wasabi Sandwich that the Imp had was pretty good.  I only wanted a quarter of the sandwich for I was feeling guilty about eating way too much but got half of the sandwich anyway.  ;p  The creamy egg along with the milky wasabi mayo was simply delicious.  I felt bad finishing the gal’s portion.  Oops!

The Imp was looking good as usual, loved the whimsical Aijek top with horse prints that she was decked in.  So fun and cheerful! She’s been wearing stuff from this brand of late and I couldn’t help but take notice of the brand too.  Perhaps a shopping date next time?  I promise to be focused?  Hehe..

Since we both felt about just right from the light bite that we had, we decided to skip dessert and headed for a walk to Haji Lane.  Went inside The Salad Shop and picked out this little stalk of flower for the dressing table and a stalk of hydrageas for the room.  By the way, they’re artificial but they will still serve the purpose of making the room a little lovelier in between my trips to the florist.
