It’s been something that I’ve always wanted to learn and I decided there’s no better time than now to pick up a new skill for this little hobby of mine. So I signed up for a 10-lesson course in Basic Floral Design at Nobleman School of Floral Design.
Here’s what I made and brought home yesterday:

A simple dome-shaped arrangement filled with Champagne Peach Roses and Violet Eustomas.
Lesson one taught me how to use floral foam the proper way. I also learned about binding points and how to aesthetically arrange the flowers in a systematic way instead of just randomly arranging them.
The arrangement slowly coming together. The violet Eustomas were used as fillers for the roses. Also learned how to arrange them in a proper manner.
Ta-dah.. the finished product arranged by yours truly!! Twigs and the wooden plate not included but I get to keep the arrangement and some of the basic tools used during the lesson.
Looks like The Loft will be filled with these floral arrangements that I will bring home from the class. Can’t wait for lesson 2! What will I learn this time round? Stay tuned and watch my efforts ‘blossom’…
