The week

IMG_5807In colours!  Super loving this neon lace dress from Asos gifted by my dear Neon Sista.  :)   I was tempted to keep it for the upcoming Chinese New Year but decided to bring it out to keep those Monday blues away.  IMG_5808

The rest of the week were rather muted compared to the bright burst.  It’s been madness at work and it’s full steam ahead for the next 2 weeks with back-to-back projects coming my way.  But I’m excited.  Can’t wait for the semi big project next weekend.  Need lotsa of luck for it to go smoothly, so send some luck along the way, won’t you?  ;)

All mixed up

One more week before the madness begins.  Totally uninspired for the week and making a conscious effort to repeat my outfits. I admit, the MBMJ dress was an impulse buy.  When it arrived, it didn’t fit.  Had to bring it to the tailor and the amount spent on alteration could have been saved if I had only tried on the dress before buying it.  That said, since I’ve already purchased and altered it, decided to make the best out of it.  First time I put it on, it felt all wrong.  So, instead of chucking it in the wardrobe, decided to pull it out again and put on a belt to give the dress a little more structure.  Thought it didn’t look all too bad.

And on Tuesdays, had a couple of external meetings, so decided to put on a fun printed flamingo blouse from Sandro – one of my fave brands when we were living in Geneva.

And the rest of the week basically just zipped by.  Dresses are one of my fave things to put on.  Fuss-free and I don’t have to worry if the top matches the bottom.  Hehe.

Print attack

Grateful for the short work week with a much-needed day off from work to catch up with dear friends and to refresh the haircut.  Nothing fancy, just went a little shorter.  Just wished that it need not take so long for the cut-and-colour bit.  I really don’t fancy sitting in the salon flipping magazines for over 2 hours.

And pimping my printed outfits with more accessory madness.  Loving my newly-acquired white and teal rhinestone necklace purchase from H&M.  Did I mention that its chic and good? :)

A rather eventful week.

For once in a long time, I finally felt that I could catch a little of my breath this week.  Managed to get off work at a rather decent time to spend some time with the Man and friends.

Nothing fancy.. just a week of prints to see me through the week.  Next week’s outfits are going to be tough as I have to cover up a bruise around the chest area.. Let’s see.. what to wear?  What to wear?

Outfits for work

How has the past work week been for you?  I can’t believe that we are almost inching towards the end of 2012.  Whoa.. where did all that time go to?

But there’s no time to rest and relax.  In fact, things are started to get super-duper busy at the workplace.  No time to think and pair what to wear.  So here’s what I grabbed for work this week:

Simple dress with interesting details always work for those ‘I don’t know what to wear days!

And I went on a roll with printed outfits for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

And before I knew it, Friday came.  Hurray!  End of the week always puts me in a good mood.  Decided to jazz up colours!  Went with a purple semi-formal work top and dressed it down a notch with my hot-pink Zara pants.  Threw on a neon pink and yellow diamante necklace from H&M.  All set to rock and roll with this outfit!  Woo hoo!

Grateful for the short work week

And thankful for the long weekend.  3 days to allow me to rest and recover from my mid-week health scare.

Didn’t feel very inspired to dress up this week.  If I have meetings outside of office, I’ll simply put on a blouse with pants and comfortable shoes that will allow me to walk and run about if I need to.  As with most days, a dress is really the only thing I like putting on.  I hate having to come up with matching ensembles.  As for skirts, I think I’ve gotten rid of most of them sticking only to pants for now.

Come midweek, I decided to dress up with this wallpaper printed dress for a special dinner with the Man and the family, but ended up staying at home because I was feeling faint and queasy.  Turned out my blood pressure was a little low which explained for the dizziness that I experienced when I got out of bed.  I really felt like I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.  Thankfully, the bed rest prescribed by the doc and the power meds did help work and by the next day, I felt slightly more functional.  Blood pressure started to go back up to normal.  I hope it stays.

And usually on the eve of the Public Holidays, we will have grand plans of heading out to ‘party’ or just out with friends for a nice long dinner.  But because I still feel kinda sick, we headed home for a simple home-cooked meal and ended the night with a foot massage.  Slept early and felt a whole lot better the very next day.  Wonders what a whole lot of sleep can do for the weary soul.  :)

Can you imagine October has almost come to an end?  2 more months before we bid 2012 farewell…. so much to do and so little time.  Work is going to get a whole lot more busy and I hope I have enough energy to sustain till at least mid December.  Wish me luck!

Nothing fancy…

Is it just me or has the month of October been tough for you too?  It’s like a whirlwind of activities that has happened both at work and some bits on the personal front.  But overall, I’ve been boh-ring… totally uninspired when I head home preferring to just crash and lie in bed.  Yes, they are days when I wish I don’t have to wake up and I wish I could just stay in bed all day long doing nothing but watching tv, blogging and munching on chips.

So no fancy outfits for the week other than my Leopard printed inspired shift dress that I put on Friday night for a much-needed get-together with the pals.

Next week’s gonna be a shorter week so looking forward to much fashion inspirations for the work-wardrobe! :)
