buys at Every Little Thing market

After a full lunch at our fave Shabu Gen and then some massive shopping done by the Man over at Isetan, it was my turn to do a little damage to the pocket!

Had planned to check out Every Little Thing – a lifestyle and fashion market organised by Public Garden over at Old Hill Street Police Station.  The Man wasn’t keen at all but he eventually did bring me there! :)

The Man sat at a corner and waited for me while I zipped through the stalls quickly to see if anything fancy caught my eye.  I’m a pretty efficient shopper when I want to be, so after a couple of minutes later, I walked away with a tea-towel (S$5) from Bits of Brit, a super kawaii Hello Kitty key pouch (not sure what’s the name of the store) plus these bluish-grey pair of Minnetonka Thunder-Bird moccasins  which I’ve been lusting for the looooongest time for only $50!

IMG_8551The event ends tomorrow, so do pop by and check out the various stalls if you wish to score either of the above items or see what others are available.

Updating the wardrobe

The usual ‘I have nothing to wear’ excuse which obviously ain’t true prompted me to update my wardrobe a little for the new season.  I guess I was bored and didn’t really feel like hitting the shops after work because:
a) I’m just too tired
b) I can’t seem to get a cab
c) It’s way too crowded

So the closest I could get to shopping is online shopping! The only thing you don’t quite get out of it is instant gratification but coming home to them packages and ripping them apart to reveal the purchase kinda works for me as well.

My latest purchases come from asos.  Super love that you can shop for the latest looks/ styles without burning a huge hole in your pocket.  Their return policy is rather fuss-free as well so that’s a plus point for me to pick them as one of my fave e-retailers.  The only downside?  Shipping can take a while, sometimes up to a couple of weeks.  By the time you actually receive the item, sometimes the excitement is already long gone.

Nevertheless, I’m still pretty pleased to have scored these items, especially the digital tiger printed sweatshirt with beaded embellishments!  Since animal prints are once again all the rage, I knew I had to get this sweatshirt.  Yeah, I know it’s probably not practical given our climate but I could always wear it with a skirt/ pair of shorts or make sure that the place I’m heading out to is really cold!  Hehe…

IMG_8252I also got these 2 other printed items from asos.  Mom might not approve of the white tee but I’m going to pair it with this other quirky skirt that I recently purchased online.  Hopefully, the pairing would work in real life.

IMG_8253I’m also loving standout prints for this season as well.  This other sweatshirt that I got is most certainly a funky trend piece that I couldn’t pass.

Now, all I’ve gotta do is to wait for the mailman to bring me these packages.  Let’s hope for them to turn up in my mailbox soon!  :)

New footwear

Move over Havaianas for footwear from holster is now making a beeline to occupy my wardrobe space!

More about holster – holster is Australia’s leading jellies footwear brand with designs that are swoon-worthy to cover you for the beach and beyond.

Many of the mommy friends on this What’s App group-chat that I recently joined were raving about their pair of holster’s. Well, I couldn’t resist checking them out and so I dropped by to the not too big store at Forum last weekend. To my delight, they were holding a sale at the atrium and were clearing some of their older stock.

Eyed this pair of studded holster’s in silver which is pretty much my style and would look great not just for the beach but also for day-to-day use.

IMG_8054And I paid S$29 for them after the discount (usual price is S$49 if I’m not wrong). These definitely looks much edgier and suited for daily use rather than the flip-flops that my Mom usually frown upon.

Great deal huh?! :)

I hope these pair will serve me well (ie: don’t hurt my bunions please) and I’m already eyeing my next pair of holster’s! Hehe

Flash Sale:: Miu Miu Brooch

IMG_7714Part 2 of my ‘Flash Sales’ series is this Miu Miu brooch.

IMG_7715

IMG_7716Probably worn for less than 8 times, this gorgeous diamante brooch definitely deserves a longer life-span in another’s home.  The brooch is perfect for dressing up a jacket/ cardigan/ blouse/ dress/ bag or simply clip it round your chain necklace to achieve a funky and glam-up look.  Pretty versatile huh?

I’m letting this item go at S$150 and what you see is what you get, the box and the dust-bag are all included in the purchase.

Brand reveal!  Orange boxes always make my heart skip a little while the Man’s heart pump a whole lot faster.

Flash sale: Louis Vuitton Clutch

IMG_7504One of the first few clutches that I’ve ever owned was this Louis Vuitton coated fabric clutch with textile interior lining. It’s of a nifty size and its metalic bronze colour made it so user-friendly for those evening occasions.

I got the bag somewhere in 2009 and have used it for less than 15 times in the past 4 years. Sigh.. yes, I obviously had hopes of using the bag more often when I got it but nope, that didn’t happen. So you can be rest assured you’ll get more mileage out of this timeless and classic clutch.

Here are the dimensions of the bag:

  • Length: 24 cm
  • Height: 15 cm
  • Width: 5 cm

I’m letting this clutch go at SGD 400 and if you are interested to get this item, please email me at ladyj_musings@rocketmail.com and let’s take it from there. :)

Note: This item that I’m selling is guaranteed authentic and it comes with the original Louis Vuitton dust-bag.

[Status update: SOLD to Ms MY who's such a lovely buyer.  :) ]
