Getting back into the groove

I’m a planner rather than a doer.  I like waking up in the morning having already planned out what to do for the rest of the day.  In a funny sort of way, I feel that my life is alot more fulfilling that way.  I know of friends who lead their lives or days totally opposite of me, preferring to go with the flow.  Planner or doer – there is no fixed way to lead your life as long as you are happy.  I try to strike a balance but most times, I’m a planner.

One of the things on my list is definitely to get back to the workforce.  It remains as a priority on my list but life goes on.  So instead of mopping around the house, I keep myself busy with various activities for the day.  One of the things that I missed doing in Singapore when living in Geneva is floral arrangements for the home.  I’m glad to pick up the hobby back home and learn a couple new things in floral arrangement from my talented cousin.

Heliconia | Sunflowers | Turtle Leaves

I had wanted to go with a wild floral Spring bouquet (ie chuck them into a vase) but had also wanted to expand my floral arrangement skills.  So while out floral shopping, I consulted the cousin and decided to attempt this simple table arrangement with instructions dispensed from the former florist herself.

Pulled the fur-kid in to model with the flowers… Hehe.. Am hoping this table arrangement will last for at least a week.  Also, since I’ve shown a keen interest in floral arrangements, I decided to go for a trial floral arrangement class next week before deciding if I want to take up the full course.  Well, with the free time on hand, I might as well put it to good use on a new hobby– More on that to come…
