I’ve been tagged!!! This time by the sweet Book Junkie of Tiny Island to participate in the ’7 Links Blog Project’. For this project, bloggers from all over the world will have to make a list of their top posts in a range of categories, creating a sort of one-stop shop for 7 notable posts from their blog. Each blogger than extends this project by inviting 3 others to participate.
I love participating in memes but I have to admit that this meme was a little challenging. Why? You see, when I first started my blog sometime in 2006/2007, it was merely an online journal of my daily ramblings. I write about the things I love – mostly food, fashion, travel plus everything else in between… namely, my fur-kid Sparky and random ramblings on love/marriage/home, etc. I don’t really use my blog as a platform to talk about politics or other worldly matters. While they do affect me, I don’t necessarily wish to express my views on my blog. That is why this meme was classified as a little challenging for I’ve seen the top 7 notable posts that other bloggers have posted and I wonder if my top 7 are even worthy.. So, here it goes:
1. My Most Beautiful Post: Tots
For the first time in our 9 years of knowing each other, the Man talks excitedly about a kid. I share my thoughts and talk about the chill pill approach that we are taking for now.
2. My Most Popular Post: Spotted B in Marc by Marc Jacobs
Yes, yes… one of my favourite TV series is Gossip Girl and I absolutely adore the fashion on the very same set. Then, I was fixated then on spotting the various famed designers used on the set on Gossip Girl. Surprisingly, this post garnered the most hits and most came to my blog by searching for ‘Blair Waldorf fashion on Gossip Girl’. Hehe…
3. My Most Controversial Post: I get that alot
Have you been labelled before? Find out which label totally irritates the sh*t out of me.
4. My Most Helpful Post: Demystifying Chanel 2.55
There came a time where I was ultra confused about the Chanel 2.55. What’s the difference between the 2.55 and Jumbo? Was there even a Jumbo model to begin with? Wait a minute, or was it the classic style that I’m referring to? Told you it was mind-boggling! So when ST Urban ran an article that shed greater insight on the Chanel 2.55, I thought it best to just blog about it and pass on the knowledge.

5. My Most Surprisingly Successful Post: Skinny Breakfast Pizzas
I’ve been dabbling in a little food photography after moving to Geneva for a bit and I was really happy when the photos of my Skinny Breakfast Pizza were finally accepted by 3 different food community blogs. That’s not all, friends who tried the recipe all loved it!
6. My Most Underrated Post: My 14 day photo project
A collection of some of my most cherished photos over 14 consecutive days. It was fun digging into the photo archives to pick out the 14 photos to suit the different themes for the day. I had hoped that other bloggers would jump on this meme but that didn’t happen. Perhaps some rekindled interest in this photo project after reading this?
7. Post I am Most Proud of: A classic disaster in the making
This post just reminds me that every ‘Lady’ has its day. I’m not spared of the domestic disasters and as embarrassed as I am about the incident, I am actually glad I blogged about it. Looking back, the incident does call for a good laugh.
Oh and if you must know, we did get a new iron eventually. The Man was using the old one and it caused a stain in one of his work-shirts. He ‘screamed’ at me (I wasn’t in Geneva then) and then went out to buy a more expensive one thereafter. I wonder if that’s going to come out of my allowance.
Phew.. finally completed this post that took me close to 1 day to compose.
Well, I’m now tagging and 3 more bloggers to participate in this cool Blog Project. Don’t break the link please for it’s a world-wide chain event. Can’t wait to read about the posts you pick and who you would invite next.. over to you ladies then:
