Capture the Everyday is about getting you to capture those everyday moments in your life! Each Thursday, Mel from Adeventuroo will issue a simple challenge to capture something that’s a part of your daily life. It’s a quick, easy way to start capturing those little parts of life we sometimes take for granted.
This week’s assignment: Something you need to upgrade.

I definitely need to upgrade my culinary skills and wares! With time on hand to spare now that I’m not working in Geneva, I would like to start upgrading my extremely basic baking skills. So, once we move into our new rented apartment, I’m heading out to get myself a basic set of baking-wares as well as enrolling in a class to try my hand at baking my favourite dessert – macaron.

Oh and next week’s challenge will be one that I’m looking forward to participating!

That is a good one and one I definitely need to improve on as well. Color me impressed about the macaron making, I am obsessed with the macarons they sell at Elephant’s Deli in Portland but they look like a LOT of work.
Bon appetit!
Thanks Joules. Yeah I agree, macarons seem to look like a lot of work but I’ve been wanting to try my hand at it for the longest time. My blog-friend R from the Pleasure Monger whips up some really pretty ones and I’m dying to try her recipes!
Are those Lauradee macarons I see there???? MMmm.. LOL
You see right!! Laduree macarons it is. I can’t wait for Paris next week.. Pierre Herme macarons it will be!! Yippeee…
I would love to take a cooking/baking class. So far my inspiration comes from food blogs and cooking shows.
Yeah most of my inspiration comes from food blogs too… I wanted to take cooking/ baking classes now since I have time to spare in Geneva.
Oh fun! A cooking class would be so much fun! I LOVE kitchen supply stores. I find we’ve increased our supplies little by little although we did invest in good pots and pans. Our knives suck though– we need Henkel ones!
Yup.. I have a fascination with plates. I seem to keep adding them into our collection. Looking forward to some baking here in Geneva. Hope you get those Henkel knives soon!
I have been slowly but surely replacing our kitchen items. I want to take a cooking class!! That is the reason I love Whole Foods… they have fun little classes all the time.
I love replacing kitchen items too… kinda fun but of course a painful exercise as I am a stickler when it comes to matching plates and cutlery…
I could totally use help in the baking department too. I love that you are taking a class, sounds fun.
Yeah… now I just gotta register for classes.
Shouldn’t procrastinate otherwise places will run out…
do you have any favourite cooking websites, you can recommend? especially singaporean ones?

It’s awfully sweet of you to cook soups for your friend to help her recover fast.
