What's in my bag?

I’ve been wanting to do a bag entry for the longest time just for fun, to document the copious amount of things I carry and because the Man always complains that I carry waaa….y too much stuff!  He also says that my bag is like a black hole for I could search for the longest time and could never seem to find my keys or my phone when I need it the most.  Hehe….

So, when Miss Ene was contemplating on doing a ‘What’s in my bag’ post on her blog, I egged her on and the lovely lass tagged me to follow suit.  What perfect timing for I can finally tick that off my ‘Things to blog-list’!  Without wasting any more time, here’s a sneak peek on the ton of stuff I lug around my bag almost everyday!

Presenting one of my most loved bag brands – Balenciaga!  I simply love Balenciaga bags for they are fashionable, edgy and really sturdy (I bring just about everything but the toilet sink).

Okay, after the Man’s incessant complaints on how I can never seem to find my stuff, I’ve since gone out and got myself a nifty bag organiser.  I love changing my bags to suit my outfits so instead of transferring all my stuff from one bag to the next (and in the midst of transferring, end up forgetting some of the stuff), I simply have to carry the bag organiser and transfer it into another bag.

Ta-daah, it’s time to spill the contents that’s tucked in my bag organiser:

I know, I know, it’s a tad busy and messy…so let me try to make sense of the mess for you.

The wallet is a gift from the Man on his last trip to Europe.  And for the 101 other cards (membership cards, privilege cards, loyalty cards, etc) that I carry around, I store them in a patent black card-holder that I purchased from M’phosis.  The other slim card holder is where I store my business cards.  Since I’m no longer working, I’ve gone ahead to print some personal name-cards to promote some freelance writing services that I could provide when I’m in S-land.

The other random stuff that I lug around [From top right to bottom]:  Wet tissue paper together with matching tissue paper from Shanghai (compliments of my Sista), iPod shuffle for music-on-the-go, Sunnies that I keep in the flowery Marimekko pouch that I got from Seoul, Mints, 2011 Agenda/ Notebook and coloured pens (I love penning down my thoughts with different coloured ink, that’s why I carry around 3 different coloured pens) and house keys.

Next up, my toiletries pouch that’s kinda small but I somehow managed to squeeze in all these stuff into the tiny bag:

[Right to left] #1: My Prada pouch purchased in Hong Kong at the Space factory outlet about 3 years back.  #2: My medication and supplements (Zyterc, Garlic Pills, Melatonin, Vitamin C) neatly packed in this zip-lock bags purchased from Daiso.  #3: Bag hook, #4: Chanel face powder, #5: Clé de Peau concealer – thought long and hard as to whether I should splurge on it but ever since I bought this concealer, never looked back.  Worth every cent.  #6: Avoplex Cuticle Oil – for those dry cuticles of mine.  #7: Carmex lip balm – a pharmaceutical wonder buy that nourishes dry and chapped lips on the go.  #8 / #9: Lip glosses from Clinique (Black Honey – for evening) and Bobbi Brown (a Strawberry shade of pink – for daytime).  #10: Hello Kitty mirror case purchased in Tokyo. #11:  Tea-tree oil – an absolute must-have in my make-up pouch for those unwanted pimples that seem to always appear at the wrong time!  #12:  Stain remover sheets from Japan.  A life-saver on one a many occasions especially when there’s red wine or curry accidentally spilled on my favourite blouse.  #13:  Plasters in a cute bunny case purchased from Daiso.

There you have it, my massive load of stuff that I lug around in my handbag.  With the amount of stuff that I have, you’d imagined that I must have toned arms.  But, no, I’ve yet to develop any toned arms yet, unlike R from the Pleasure Monger who seemed to have developed muscles from carrying her bag.   Wanna check out what these ladies have done, go on, raid their bags… (I’ll update along the way)
